From classic to quirky!

My friend Caroline has been asked to be a bridesmaid in a few months time for her friend Jo's wedding and she has been asked to choose her own bridesmaid dress. Though some may say a very brave move by the bride, having seen the web links that she sent to Caroline, I really don't think she could go far wrong with her choice. The bride is going for a vintage themed wedding, inspired by 1950's glam, with stunning feminine dresses that can make any woman feel sexy and from what I have heard about the day so far it sounds a very personal day and one to remember.

Having looked through some of the dresses with Caroline, I just had to show them on my blog. I absolutely love them and think they are a great alternative from the everyday bridesmaids dresses that you see. So here are a few images for you, I just hope you enjoy them as much as I do...

These classic and sexy fitted dresses from Vivien of Holloway are a beautiful alternative for your bridesmaids. Her 1950's inspired collection includes a wide range of colours and styles to choose from all of which can be teamed up with one of her fabulous accessories.

I love these fun a flirty dresses, again from Vivien of Holloway they would look great at a summer, casual or garden wedding. The shape of the dresses are so flattering, especially for us woman 'with child bearing hips' as my mum would so kindly say to me.

For the more adventurous bridesmaids, the above dresses are from Tara Starlet. With fitted vintage styles and a great range of materials and colours you can be as daring or as subtle as you wish with such a great range.

Caroline has actually decided to wear the dress above (left) and looks so pretty in it. It is so flattering and has a real cute girly feel regardless of its colour. The above dresses are from Dolly Dagger, Dolly is a Brighton based designer and has a really fantastic website. She has a great shoe and accessories range, which also includes the very popular Vivenne Westwood Lady Dragon Heart bridal shoes so take a look and see what you think.

So ladies, if you want something a little different and vintage inspired, then I hope this gives you some inspiration. After all, it's all about those curves!
